To be candid, our company today isn’t diverse — unless you count the mix of ages and “foreign” accents we bring to our conversations. Our founding team is three white, straight men (one of us is definitely “old”). We see this as potentially limiting, not as a badge, and we believe diversity of background and perspective makes companies more resilient, innovative, empathetic with their customers, and interesting.
This Equality Plan is how we intend to build a more inclusive team as we grow — not just because it's "the right thing", but because it will make us stronger, more creative, and better equipped to serve the people we work with.
We recognise that some may be sceptical about diversity and inclusion efforts. For us, this isn’t about ideology — it’s about good business and the kind of company we want to build.
1. Introduction & Commitment
AmbAI Inc. (USA) and its UK subsidiary ambientChat.ai Ltd. are committed to building an inclusive workplace where all employees, contractors, and partners are treated equally, regardless of gender or any other personal characteristic.
Although small in size today, our companies are committed to embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion into our structures from the earliest stage. This Equality Plan sets out our guiding principles and commitments, which will expand as we grow.

- Responsibility: Our CEO oversees implementation and monitoring of this plan.
- Scope: Applies to all employees, contractors, and collaborators of AmbAI Inc. and ambientChat.ai Ltd.
- Review: The plan is reviewed annually and updated as the organisation grows.
4. Key Commitments
4.1 Recruitment & Career Progression
- Job postings use gender-neutral language.
- Selection and promotion are based solely on skills, experience, and potential.
- Equal pay for equal work is a guiding principle, monitored regularly.
4.2 Leadership & Decision-Making
- Leadership opportunities will be made accessible to all, with the goal of ensuring balanced representation as the company grows.
- We commit to gender balance in advisory boards, project steering, and external representation where feasible.
4.3 Data Collection & Monitoring
- At least annually, we will collect and review gender-disaggregated data (e.g. staff mix, leadership roles, pay bands).
- Findings will be used to inform policies and shared internally.
4.4 Awareness & Training
- New team members will be briefed on this plan during onboarding.
- As the company grows, we will use training resources (internal or external) to increase awareness of unconscious bias and inclusive practices.
4.5 Work–Life Balance & Flexibility
- Flexible schedules and remove work for one day a week are supported for all staff.
- Caring responsibilities (family, children, dependents) are respected as valid reasons for flexibility.
4.6 Harassment & Discrimination Prevention
- Zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, or discrimination.
- Confidential reporting is available directly to the CEO or Programme Manager.
- Concerns will be investigated promptly and fairly, with outcomes documented.
5. Monitoring & Transparency
- This plan will be published on the AmbAI and ambientChat.ai websites.
- Progress will be reviewed annually by leadership.
- As we scale, this plan will be expanded into a more detailed framework with specific targets, KPIs, and resource allocation.
